The Wisconsin Division of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting to fill an Infection Preventionist, limited term employment (LTE) position within the Bureau of Communicable Diseases, HAI Prevention Program in Madison, Wisconsin.
The LTE Infection Preventionist will collaborate with HAI Prevention Program staff to support communicable disease surveillance and outbreak response activities. The LTE Infection Preventionist will provide consultation, education and infection prevention support for all types of healthcare settings in Wisconsin, including hospitals, long-term care facilities and ambulatory care centers. This individual will serve as a core member of the HAI Prevention Program team, conducting outbreak detection, investigation and response, and handling a wide range of infection prevention questions.
Wisconsin DPH is located in the heart of downtown Madison, near the State Capitol, the Madison Metro route and the Capital City bike path. In addition, there are plenty of nearby restaurants, shopping venues, and Wednesday farmer's market starting in the spring.
Limited term employment offers approximately 20 flexible hours per week. DPH offers on-site yoga classes, an indoor walking area, and a supportive and collaborative work environment with a focus on work-life balance.
