Updates for local agencies, community-based organizations, and providers who provide assistance to members of Wisconsin's health and nutrition public assistance programs.

Overview

Since 2004, the ACCESS website has served as a primary resource for people to apply for and manage enrollment in Wisconsin’s health, nutrition, child care, and employment programs. In an effort to enhance and simplify benefits management, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families will be launching MyACCESS, a mobile application (app) that will complement the ACCESS website, on November 12, 2018.

With the new MyACCESS mobile app, people will be able to:

  • See a high-level overview of the programs they are enrolled in.
  • Receive reminders of actions they need to take or verification documents they need to submit.
  • Take photos of and submit required documents.
  • Check the real-time status of submitted documents.

Availability and Use

The MyACCESS mobile app will be available for free from the App Store and Google Play Store starting November 12.

People who have applied for or are enrolled in health care, FoodShare, Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidy Program, or Wisconsin Works will be able to use the app. If a person has an ACCESS username and password, they can log in to MyACCESS using that same information. If a person does not have an ACCESS username and password, they can create one within the app.

Just like the ACCESS website, the app’s functionality is determined based on the programs people are enrolled in. Refer to the Features Available in the MyACCESS Mobile Application table for an overview of functionality based on program.

On November 12, a MyACCESS Instruction Sheet, which includes an overview of navigating through the app and submitting documents, will be emailed to partners.

Promotional Materials

The initial November release of the mobile app will be a "soft launch" to allow DHS to refine the app and identify opportunities for future enhancements.

Starting in early 2019, promotional materials for the MyACCESS mobile app, including a poster, handout, and wallet card, will be available to order. Another email with further information will be sent closer to their publication date.

Contact Information

People who have questions or need technical assistance with the MyACCESS mobile app should call Member Services at 800-362-3002 for help.

People who have questions about their eligibility or case should continue to contact their agency for help.
