September 11th & 12th

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), is pleased to announce the Excellence in Healthcare Conference for health care providers and DQA staff on September 11th and 12th, 2018, at the Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells. The Excellence in Healthcare Conference is being developed in collaboration with DQA, health care providers, and provider association representatives.

The Excellence in Healthcare Conference will address a wide variety of healthcare topics: 

  • On Day 1 of the conference, Christopher Ridenhour will deliver the keynote address titled “Light Them Up and Watch Them Go!”  
  • Day 1 will also include breakout sessions on a wide variety of healthcare topics. See the conference brochure for more details.  
  • Day 2 will include a keynote address delivered by  Michael A. Gillette, Ph.D. titled “Processing Clinical Ethics Issues: Autonomy, Paternalism, and the Limits of Staff Responsibility.” 
  • Day 2 will also include a panel of experts speaking about the “Opioid Crisis Epidemic” and a plenary presentation delivered by Chris Queram titled “In Pursuit of Quality and Affordability: The Growing Focus on Health Care “Value.”
