Denial of Payment for New Admissions
With nursing home surveys issued on or after March 1, 2018, the Wisconsin State Survey Agency (DHS Division of Quality Assurance) under direction from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is to use the remedy, Discretionary Denial of Payment for New Admissions (DDPNA), for enforcement cases consistent with CMS S&C 16-31 when an immediate imposition of remedy is required.
