Revised Pre-Admission Counseling (PAC) Brochure Now

Nursing homes, community-based residential facilities (CBRFs), and residential care apartment complexes (RCACs) are required to provide prospective residents with a brochure about the pre-admission consultation service provided by the Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs). The Pre Admission Counseling (PAC) Brochure (P-00040), has been updated and is available at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/adrc/pros/pac.htm.
Language has been revised to be consistent with the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Brochure (P-00122). The PAC brochure clarifies that the ADRC is available to help people with the financial eligibility process if they choose to enroll in a long-term care program. It is anticipated that this will reduce confusion as to when to refer a person or their family to the ADRC for assistance with Medicaid applications.
