Partners Update

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has received a decision from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) regarding the bovine tuberculosis (TB)-affected herd in Dane County. Currently, this is the only herd in the state that is considered a TB-affected herd. This decision is based on risk modeling conducted by USDA-APHIS-Veterinary Services Center for Epidemiology and Animal Health.

At this time DATCP is working with USDA on this decision and will begin to move forward and work with the herd owner to implement a test and removal plan.
