Input needed: U.S - Israel Free Trade Agreement

The US Dairy Export Council is seeking input on your firm’s level of interest in the Israel dairy market, given ongoing U.S.-Israel trade discussions. Please respond to Shawna Morris (at smorris@usdec.org), if you wish to provide input.

The U.S. and Israel are engaged in discussions on the existing free trade agreement. Currently the trade agreement, provides tightly limited access for dairy products. USDEC has long advocated expanding U.S. market access to that market.

USDEC is preparing detailed recommendations to provide to the U.S. government as they embark on these renewed trade discussions with Israel and is looking for your updates to incorporate into their recommendations.

International trade policy has become part of the election year campaign discussion. MITA's September program focuses on US trade policy in an election year:

  • Does trade cost jobs?
  • Should the U.S. impose a 45% tariff  on Chinese imports?
  • Should the U.S. leave NAFTA?
  • Should the U.S. ratify new trade  agreements with 11 Pacific Rim  countries, and another with the EU?

Two expert speakers separate rhetoric from reality, and discuss the possible consequences for US exporters. Register here.
