Did you receive a postcard from the Department of Ecology? If you are part of the water adjudication, regardless of whether another person or entity is filing on your behalf, you may have received a postcard announcing the extension of the filing claim deadline and a legal announcement about the docket sheet.
- Why am I receiving this?
This postcard was sent by the Department of Ecology. It was sent to everyone in the adjudication. The postcard states that the filing deadline has been moved to June 1, 2027 and that the docket sheet is how you are notified of court filings and timelines for the length of the case.
- I have already turned in my claim form – what is happening?
The court clerk is still accepting claim forms until June 1, 2027. If you have already turned in your claim form, then there is no further action to take. However, this may change in the future, and you should stay updated on the case by checking the docket sheet and signing-up for water news.
- I am on city water or part of a water association. Why am I receiving this postcard?
Everyone in the water adjudication area received this postcard. If you think that you have received this postcard in error, please contact the Department of Ecology at 360-255-4406 and leave a message. A representative will return your phone call as soon as possible.
