According to a recent Triple P America survey, the leading cause of family conflict is around screen time. If your family is caught in a cycle of screen stress, you’re not alone!
Feeling worried or guilty about screen rules isn’t a failure—it shows you care. Check out these simple steps to make gradual, realistic changes:
- Change guilt spirals into positive actions.
- Swap screen use with other shared activities.
- Prioritize device-free time.
- Build a balanced digital family culture.
- Hold steady through pushback from kids.
As you make small changes, you create deeper connections and reinforce your role. If you want real, realistic strategies (not perfection), learn how to support your kids and stress less with positive parenting. (Español).

In October, BFC also hosted an in-person BCS coalition meeting focused on Crime Prevention Month, featuring speakers from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office and Safe Streets. Most coalition meetings happen online on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Want to join? Email bcsinfo@bethelservices.org.
BCS envisions a community where you live in a safe neighborhood, have the resources you need to thrive, and feel connected. BFC works every day to make that vision real for you.
