Family Resource Centers
Get the help and resources you need at our Family Resource Centers. They help children, families, and communities thrive. We design each resource center with unique services to meet the needs of the community around it. In April, we referred families to more than 40,000 community resources. We also offered dozens of classes, support, community events, and meetings.

Taking chemicals off the menu, one pot and pan at a time
Nonstick pans are a kitchen staple—but did you know many are coated in harmful chemicals called PFAS?
PFAS—short for Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances—are human-made chemicals used to make products resistant to water, oil, heat, and stains. You’ll find them in everyday items like nonstick cookware, waterproof clothing, food packaging, furniture, and cosmetics.
Skip the nonstick ick! Find out if your cookware has harmful chemicals.

Bethel Shines at 92nd Daffodil Festival Parade
The 92nd Daffodil Festival’s Grand Floral Parade traveled through Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner, and Orting last month, celebrating the heart and spirit of Pierce County.
A standout of the event was the Bethel Community Float—created by Spanaway Lake High School’s Leadership class in partnership with Bethel Community Services, the Bethel School District, and sponsors Frederickson/Graham Rotary and Empower Youth Futures.
Titled "Rooted Together," the float embodied this year’s theme, “Growing Locally,” with a vibrant display of cultural canvases and a field of flowers symbolizing the community’s rich diversity. Students spent weeks after school designing and building the float, pouring their creativity and pride into every detail.
The students’ dedication paid off—the float won the coveted Spirit Award, capping off a day full of music, unity, and celebration. Go Bethel!
