Family Resource Centers
Get the help and resources you need at our Family Resource Centers. They help children, families, and communities thrive. We design each resource center with unique services to meet the needs of the community around it. In January, we referred families to more than 27,000 community resources. We also offered dozens of classes, support, community events, and meetings.

Confidence helps your child enjoy challenges, take reasonable risks, try new things, make new friends, and adjust well to school life. Confidence isn’t about feeling better than others but an inner belief that says, "I can do this" even when it seems hard.
Parents and caregivers play a key role in helping children build up their confidence. Learn how to help build your child’s confidence. (Español).

Healthy lifestyle choices help your heart.
February is American Heart Month. It’s a good time to remember that Pierce County residents face high rates of heart disease compared to the rest of Washington.
- People with diabetes and high blood pressure are 4 times more likely to develop heart disease.
- Lifestyle changes can help improve your health and decrease your chances of suffering from heart disease:
- Increase physical activity.
- Lose weight.
- Eat healthier food.
- Quit smoking.
- Limit alcohol consumption.
- Get screened for disease.
