Even if you didn’t think much about public health 2 years ago, you probably do now. And last week was a great chance to learn even more about our work to protect and improve your health.
Last week, we celebrated National Public Health Week. Each day, we explored a different topic and our work to address it and make Pierce County a better, healthier place to live.

Last week was National Library Week and April 16 is National Librarian Day! Thank you to our library partners for all your help! During the past year, they provided about 66,000 free COVID-19 test kits. Thanks to:
-
Pierce County Library for distributing 30,000 test kits through 19 locations.
-
Tacoma Public Library for distributing 32,000 test kits through 7 locations.
-
Puyallup Public Library for distributing 4,000 test kits at 1 location.
You can call or stop by your local library to request a test kit for curbside pickup. You don’t need a library card to get a test kit. But you should get one anyway because libraries are awesome!
