COVID-19 safe practices
- COVID-19 testing helps protect you, your family, your friends, and your community. It's also more available than ever before. Find a testing location.
- Dr. Anthony L-T Chen will lift his health order and no longer require masks in most indoor public settings on March 12. This update will align Pierce County with state guidance. Local COVID-19 cases, case rates, and hospitalizations are falling. Our data shows this trend should continue. We will continue to monitor local data and be prepared to adjust as needed.
- The COVID-19 vaccines are the most effective tools to limit the spread of COVID-19. Everyone 5 and older is eligible to get vaccinated. Find your free dose today at tpchd.org/vaxtothefuture.

It’s almost spring break! The first day or so may feel like sheer relief for your children. And you’ll likely breathe easier without the pressure of the early morning rush and homework hassles.
But it may not take long until kids start to feel like there’s nothing to do. Without friends or school activities to fill up their time, they may turn to the most obvious option: computers, devices and TV.
While this might stop the frequent complaint of “I’m bored,” screens all day and half the night are not good for physical and mental health. Learn what to do when your kids say, “I’m bored.” (Español).

Family Resource Centers
Family Resource Centers help children, families and communities thrive. We provide the help and resources you need. Each resource center has unique services. We design each center to meet the needs of the community around it. In February, we referred families to 126,385 community resources. We also offered dozens of classes, support, community events and meetings.
