Tacoma Arts Month begins this week!

Join us for a community celebration of the arts as we kick off Tacoma Arts Month and celebrate the 2019 AMOCAT Arts Awardees and funding recipients.

Enjoy a stellar line-up of entertainment including:

  • Music by Lincoln High School Drumline, Stephanie Anne Johnson, The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra
  • Blessing, singing, and dancing by Connie McCloud and the Puyallup Tribe Canoe Family
  • Performances by Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center, Asia Pacific Cultural Center, Ballet Folklórico de Tacoma, BareFoot Collective, Metro Parks Arts’ En Dehors Dance Company, Screaming Butterflies Productions

Enjoy appetizers and no-host bar while we honor the 2019 funding recipients and AMOCAT Arts Award winners - Tacoma Creates Campaign, Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center, and Aya Hashiguchi Clark & Randy Clark.

You are invited inside the working studios of 96 local artists to learn about the artistic process, ask questions, and purchase one-of-a-kind creations. All studios will feature demonstrations or will have hands-on activities for visitors. This is a free, family friendly, self-guided tour. Check out the Tacoma Studio Tour webpage for all the details including an interactive map so you can plot your custom tour course.

Make sure to have your Studio Tour Passport stamped at each studio address you visit.
