Link light rail is closed this weekend between SODO Station and UW Station

Link light rail is closed this weekend from SODO Station to the University of Washington (UW) Station while system expansion work takes place. The closure of all stations north of SODO will continue until Monday morning at 4 a.m.

During this time, Link light rail will run from Angle Lake Station to SODO Station. "Link Shuttle" buses will serve affected stations between SODO Station and UW Station. Fares will be required for Link, but will not be required for the Link Shuttle buses.

Passengers should look for signs directing them to Link Shuttle bus stops and for “Link Shuttle” on the bus destination signage. During busy times, Sound Transit ambassadors will be available at Link Shuttle stops to assist riders.

Link Shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes. Link light rail trains will run every 15 minutes between Angle Lake Station and SODO Station. Passengers should plan extra time for their trips, which could take up to 45 minutes between SODO Station and UW Station.

This is the final of five consecutive weekends that Link is closed from SODO Station to UW Station due to system expansion work.
