Link light rail is closed this weekend between SODO Station and UW Station
Sound Transit sent this bulletin at 04/17/2021 07:30 AM PDTLink light rail is closed this weekend from SODO Station to the University of Washington (UW) Station while system expansion work takes place. The closure of all stations north of SODO will continue until Monday morning at 4 a.m.
During this time, Link light rail will run from Angle Lake Station to SODO Station. "Link Shuttle" buses will serve affected stations between SODO Station and UW Station. Fares will be required for Link, but will not be required for the Link Shuttle buses.
Passengers should look for signs directing them to Link Shuttle bus stops and for “Link Shuttle” on the bus destination signage. During busy times, Sound Transit ambassadors will be available at Link Shuttle stops to assist riders.
Fans taking Link to the games at T-Mobile Park should be prepared to take the Link Shuttle to connect to Stadium Station.
Link Shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes. Link light rail trains will run every 15 minutes between Angle Lake Station and SODO Station. Passengers should plan extra time for their trips, which could take up to 45 minutes between SODO Station and UW Station.
This is the third of five consecutive weekends Link will be closed from SODO Station to UW Station due to system expansion work.
The next closure will take place the following weekend, April 23-25.
