Bellevue Way SE traffic configurations

Sound Transit's contractor has completed burying utilities along Bellevue Way Southeast. Crews will soon begin constructing the light rail trench and guideway along the east side of Bellevue Way Southeast.

Sound Transit, its contractor and the city of Bellevue have identified an improved traffic maintenance plan for Bellevue Way Southeast. Throughout the project, two lanes will be maintained in the peak direction: northbound in the morning, southbound in the afternoon. Sound Transit's contractor expects to begin implementation of this traffic control configuration as early as Friday, April 20. Look for more details in a follow-up alert.

No lane closures are expected on Bellevue Way Southeast between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.

  1. Crews will set up traffic control prior to 6 a.m.
  2. Occasional closures through 8 p.m., with work until 8 p.m. more likely between June and September.

Occasional weekend closures through 2020.
