Dear North County Neighbors,

October was a busy month in North Snohomish County! From joining the Sheriff’s Office of Neighborhoods on outreach efforts to celebrating major infrastructure projects and community partnerships, I continue to be inspired by the teamwork and service happening across our region. Below are a few highlights and updates and don’t forget to return your ballot by November 4th! You can find the full newsletter below the summary:

🚓 Community Outreach: Joined the Sheriff’s Office of Neighborhoods and SCOUT Team connecting individuals with housing, treatment, and recovery support.

🚗 Marysville I-5 Interchange: New SR 529 interchange now open, improving access and easing downtown traffic.

💰 Mid-Biennium Budget: Council reviewing minor 2026 adjustments; public hearing on Nov. 5, 2025.

🏗️ Permit Improvements: PDS eliminated overdue permits and met all state review timelines—great progress on efficiency.

🎉 Community & Conservation: Attended local events, celebrated the new Jordan Creek Bridge, and highlighted Edmonds’ Sierra Park expansion.

New Marysville I-5 Interchange Opens

Last month, the new I-5 interchange at SR 529 in Marysville opened. The new interchange has been a decade in the making. Originally funded in the 2015 Connecting Washington package, these improvements now allow access to and from downtown Marysville without contending with railroad crossings that snarl traffic multiple times each day. The on- and off-ramps lead to a roundabout that allows travelers to access downtown or head south on SR 529 toward Everett.
