Councilmember Nehring's December Newsletter

Snohomish County NewsNate Nehring

Dear North County Neighbors,

I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and were able to pause and reflect on the many things we have to be grateful for. I would like to start this newsletter by thanking the voters in District 1 for electing me to another 4-year term representing North Snohomish County on the County Council. It has been my honor to serve for the past 5 years and I look forward to continuing to serve you moving forward. In this month’s newsletter, I will provide updates on a number of County Council actions, issues affecting North County, and my work on outside committees.

County Council Adopts 2022 Budget

On November 9th, the Snohomish County Council adopted the 2022 budget for the County. The budget sets out revenues and expenditures for the calendar year. While there were some good investments included in the final negotiated budget, I ultimately voted “no” due to the property tax increase that was included.
