Monday,
March 26 is the last day before the April Special Election to register to vote
by mail or online or to update an existing registration. In person registration
at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office ends Monday, April 16 for those new to
Washington state. Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters beginning
April 5.
The April 24 Special Election includes Sno-Isle
Library District and Darrington School District levies as well as a merger question
for Fire District 28 voters.
Register
online at www.myvote.wa.gov. Mail-in registration
forms can be found online or at local libraries, post offices, and the
Snohomish County Auditor’s Office. The Auditor’s Office is located on the first
floor of the Snohomish County Administration West Building, 3000 Rockefeller
Avenue, Everett, and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
To register to vote in the state of Washington, you must:
- be a United
States citizen;
- have lived
in Washington state for at least 30 days;
- be at least
18 years old by Election Day;
- not be
disqualified due to a court order; or not be currently under Department of
Corrections supervision for a felony conviction.
If
you are already registered but have recently moved or changed your name, be
sure to update your registration online, by mail, or in person. You can check
your current voting status at www.vote.wa.gov.
