Case Counts in Skagit County
Skagit currently has a case rate of 46.8 per 100k over the last 14 days and a hospitalization rate of 1.5 COVID patients per 100k over the last seven days.
Vaccines in Skagit County
As of July 10th, 151,499 vaccine doses have been administered in Skagit County, and roughly 64% of all Skagitonians 12 years and older are at least partially vaccinated against COVID-19. This week Skagit County officially reached 50% of all Skagitonians fully vaccinated! That means that 1 out of every 2 people in our County are now fully protected.

Vibriosis Risk: Shellfish Safety Notice
Please be very careful when consuming shellfish right now! Recent extreme temperatures have made consuming raw shellfish extremely dangerous. Public Health is requesting that individuals do not consume raw or undercooked shellfish due to the high risk of Vibriosis from warm water temperatures.

Extreme Heat Preparedness
Speaking of extreme temperatures—please be sure to prepare yourself and your loved ones for future extreme heat events. Extreme heat impacts everyone’s health and well being. Some people in our communities are more vulnerable to the impacts of extreme heat than others, including:
- Children, elderly people, economically disadvantaged groups, and people who live or work outside
- Those with chronic health conditions like high blood pressure, respiratory disease, and diabetes.
