Long-Term Strategic Plan update

The Fishermen’s Terminal Long-Term Strategic Plan is moving into implementation! Fishers and other terminal stakeholders helped create the plan over the past two years.

The Port of Seattle is currently in the process of selecting/hiring design team for the new Gateway Building (to be located in area of existing bank and net sheds 7 and 8), new West Wall 1 Building (to be located immediately north of existing West Wall Building), and related site improvements. Design is anticipated to take place in 2017-18 with construction to follow accordingly in 2018–19.

The port will continue to seek stakeholder input during the phased implementation. Visit the Long-Term Strategic Plan webpage for more information and to sign-up for updates. For more information please contact Joseph Gellings at 206-787-3368 or gellings.j@portseattle.org.

Nickerson Paving Project update

The Seattle Department of Transportation is repairing and repaving Nickerson Street to make it safer and more comfortable to travel on and extend its useful life. For project information and updates visit the Nickerson Paving Project webpage.

Net Shed Roof Replacement Project update

The Net Sheds 3, 4, 5 & 6 Roof Replacement Project (including the solar demonstration on Net Shed #5) construction contract is out to bid with construction activities beginning around June and work would be completed by the fall of 2017.

Customer reminders

Reserve your shore power hookup or disconnect

If your vessel uses 208v or 480v shore power, Port of Seattle regulations require that a port electrician hookup or disconnect your vessel. Reserving your shore power hookup and disconnect in advance assures we’re ready when you are and helps you control costs. For best service, call us the day before you need a hookup or disconnect at 206-728-3395 or on VHF 17.

Top six to-do's before departing to fish

  1. Give notice for moorage or storage interruption or termination as far in advance as possible to avoid future billing issues.
  2. Book your loading dock reservation.
  3. Schedule your net lane.
  4. Order a dumpster for last minute clean-up ($56.61 for 1½ yard dumpster).
