Mayor Wilson to Announce Shift in Strategy on Reducing Homelessness

SEATTLE — On Wednesday, Mayor Katie Wilson and partners will announce a new, highly targeted strategy to substantially reduce homelessness by re-allocating existing resources, drawing upon a nationally recognized framework used successfully in other major cities such as Denver and Houston. 

What: “A Commitment to Common Sense” — Mayor Wilson and Community Partners Shift Strategy on Reducing Homelessness, Joining Cities Around the Country 

When: Wednesday, October 21 at 10 AM

Where: Norman B. Rice room, Seattle City Hall 

Who: Mayor Wilson, City Council Members, Downtown Seattle Association, neighborhood business leaders, Seattle’s Human Services Department, and community organizations.
