Seattle Parks and Recreation Gathers Input for Hing Hay Park Exercise Equipment 

Seattle, WA-Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to provide input on new outdoor exercise equipment for Hing Hay Park, 423 Maynard Ave. S. Please join us at the Chinatown-International District (CID) Night Market on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Our team will be sharing equipment options and gathering community feedback from 1 to 9 pm at the night market booth.  

The goal of this project is to provide seniors in the Chinatown International District with a free, welcoming and accessible space to exercise. Please find our booth at the event (look for the Seattle Parks and Recreation tent at the corner of King and Maynard) and help us update the fitness equipment area at Hing Hay Park. If you can’t make it to the CID Night Market please visit the website and provide feedback online.  

This project is funded by the Seattle Park District, Park CommUNITY Fund. This funding source relies on public participation and closes gaps in access to quality parks and park facilities that disproportionally affect frontline communities. This project came out of the engagement process held in 2025.
