This free event will include free food, activities, games, resources for families, and information on how children and teens ages 1-18 can access summer meals at 50 locations across the city. 

Community partners and staff from the Seattle Human Services Department (HSD), Seattle Parks & Recreation (SPR) and United Way of King County will be onsite to answer questions about the Summer Meals Program.

City officials will be onsite and available for comment.

About Seattle’s Summer Meals Program: The Summer Meals Program is part of a long-standing effort to reduce food insecurity and support youth across the city, especially in under-resourced neighborhoods. The program reflects Mayor Katie Wilson’s focus on food access, affordability, and making Seattle a city where families can raise children and thrive.

The Summer Meals Program provides free, nutritious meals to children and teens ages 1-18 at dozens of sites throughout the summer – helping fill the gap for families when school is out and access to school meals is paused.
