SW Barton Construction Updates:

June 18, 2026

What's Happening Now

This week (June 15–19), we are grading for new concrete roadway panels from the bus stop west to 29th Ave. We are also preparing to pour new concrete roadway panels from the closed bus stop east to 26th Ave. SWUtility adjustments and electrical work will continue during this week. You can see the progress we're making in the photos below.

As of Friday, June 19, the driveway to the Village Green Retirement Community will be fully accessible again. Thank you to their residents and staff for your patience.

What's Coming Up

Next week (June 22–26), we plan to continue our work on the street's panels, as well as begin forming and pouring concrete for the sidewalk. Please bear with us as this work may affect your ability to use the walkway.

What Else Can You Expect?

During construction, you can expect:

  • Slower traffic – you will only be able to drive on the north half of SW Barton St. Plan ahead when traveling in the area!
  • Closed sidewalks – you will not be able to enter Roxhill Park from the sidewalk on the south side of SW Barton St. You can still enter the park from SW Roxbury St.

We are here for you!

If you have any questions or concerns during the project, our team is here to help. You can contact us by emailing SWBartonLayover@seattle.gov or calling (206) 400-7570.

Thank you,
