SW Barton Construction Updates:
May 21, 2026
What's Happening Now
Lightweight fill is now complete, and drainage was installed this week. Next week, crews will move additional panels east for excavation and continue work around the Village Green driveway. A temporary ramp will be added at the driveway to address the small drop-off, and work will also continue along 26th Ave.
Holiday note: No work is scheduled for Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

What's Coming Up
Looking ahead to the week of June 8, pavers are expected to arrive, and concrete pouring is anticipated during that same week.
What Can You Expect?
Map of SW Barton St, Westwood Village, and Roxhill Park, with an orange rectangular line along SW Barton St between 29th Ave SW and 26th Ave SW, indicating the location of our construction zone, and a blue line showing where the temporary layover and bus stops will be.
During construction, you can expect:
-
Slower traffic – you will only be able to drive on the north half of SW Barton St. Plan ahead when traveling in the area!
-
Closed sidewalks – you will not be able to enter Roxhill Park from the sidewalk on the south side of SW Barton. You can still enter the park from SW Roxbury.
We are here for you!
