For retiring Susan Han, journalism began with curiosity & became a calling

Susan Han smiles in Seattle Channel's studio control room.

Susan Han’s journalism career wasn’t just about covering history, it was about helping Seattle understand itself in real time. Her reporting and producing spanned decades of political, cultural, and social change across the region. Along the way, she broke barriers for local journalists of color and quietly opened doors for those coming behind her. Few careers leave this kind of imprint on a city.

We want to thank Susan for nearly two decades of contributions at Seattle Channel, including more than 520 episodes of the public affairs program City Inside/Out, work that earned her eight Emmy Awards. Congratulations on retirement and thank you, Susan!
