Seattle Parks and Recreation Seeks Proposals for Redevelopment and Operation of Building 41 and/or Building 18 at Magnuson Park

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment, renovation, and activation of Building 41 (former service station) and Building 18 (former fire station) located within Magnuson ParkSPR invites organizations to submit proposals to redevelop, operate, and manage either building under a long-term agreement with the City and in alignment with the uses and guidelines set forth by the City of Seattle and the National Parks Service.

Through this RFP, SPR is seeking a proposer(s) that can make a significant capital investment in exchange for a long-term agreement. SPR does not have designated funding for this redevelopment; therefore, proposals should also include an adequate and well-defined funding plan for the re-development.

The successful proposer(s) will be invited to negotiate an agreement under which the proposer(s) will redevelop, operate, and manage the Building for the approved use and programming for a term that is commensurate with the Proposer’s financial commitment. Specific terms and conditions of a long-term agreement are negotiable.

Proposals for Building 41 are due by 3:00 P.M. on August 5, 2026.

Proposals for Building 18 are due by 3:00 P.M. on September 2, 2026.

Late applications are not accepted. All RFP proposals must be emailed tobenjamin.burtzos@seattle.gov
