Our virtual project information session presentation from March 2 is now available.
You can now find the presentation from our March 2, 2026 virtual public information session on our project website. Thank you to everyone who joined the meeting and contributed thoughtful questions. We've compiled a Q&A document addressing all topics raised by the community, which is also available on our website.
What’s Coming Up
Map of SW Barton Street, Westwood Village, and Roxhill Park, with an orange rectangular line along SW Barton St between 29th Ave SW and 26th Ave SW, indicating the location of our construction zone, and a blue line showing where the temporary layover and bus stops will be.
The Route 21 and Rapid Ride C bus detours will start Saturday, March 28, 2026. Visit our website to find maps showing these detours and temporary bus stop relocations. You can also subscribe to real-time transit alerts from King County to receive notifications via email or phone.
We will begin construction on SW Barton St in early April 2026 and expect our work to finish in Fall 2026. Our schedule can always change due to weather and other factors. Regardless, we will keep you informed if the timeline shifts.
During construction, you can expect part of SW Barton St to be closed so that we can do our work. Most notably, the bus stops and the layover zone currently on the south side of SW Barton St between 29th Ave SW and 26th Ave SW will be moved to a new location on 25th Ave SW between SW Trenton St and SW Barton St.
We are here for you!
