🎉👏 The Wing Luke Museum named Chrissy Shimizu as its next executive director. A Seattle native with deep ties to the Chinatown-International District, Shimizu most recently served as executive director of Puget Sound Sage and previously worked at the museum as director of individual giving. She brings extensive experience in community advocacy, fundraising, and coalition building and will help guide the museum’s next chapter while advancing its mission to share the stories and cultures of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Shimizu will step into the role in May, becoming the museum’s sixth executive director: Shimizu chosen as Wing Luke Museum’s new executive director – Northwest Asian Weekly.

🏃☘️ Runners and walkers filled Seattle Center Sunday for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dash, a Seattle tradition now more than 40 years strong. Participants ran the festive 5K and Kids Leprechaun Lap before celebrating at the Post-Dash Bash with live music, costumes, and plenty of St. Patrick’s Day spirit: St. Pat’s Day Dash – Seattle Center.
