🧼✨ The Downtown Seattle Association/Metropolitan Improvement District Clean Team ambassadors are keeping Downtown vibrant and welcoming. DSA reports that the ambassadors removed 29,565 graffiti tags from June 2025 to January 2026. In January alone, they collected 92,709 gallons of trash. The team worked 278,466 service hours in 2025, a four percent increase over the previous year, highlighting their incredible effort to make Downtown shine.
🏨📈 Visit Seattle reports January 2026 hotel bookings were up compared to the same time in 2025. The increase in bookings can be associated with four conventions, 11 hockey games, two major concerts, and the Seahawks’ incredible playoff run, which included two home games in January, leading to their Super Bowl Championship win: Hotel Performance Monthly Report – Visit Seattle.

🍴🧑🍳 Pioneer Square’s dining scene is getting a fresh addition with Doris Social, a new venue planned for the historic Mottman Building on Third Avenue South. Seattle hospitality leader Angela Dunleavy is renovating the former Salumi storefront, bringing new life to the space that housed the beloved Italian deli for decades before it relocated in 2019. While details about the concept and opening date haven’t been announced, is another sign of growing energy and investment in Pioneer Square’s food and nightlife scene: Goodbye Salumi, Hello Doris Social in Pioneer Square Shakeup – Hoodline.
