Community Resource Day: How we Connected, Supported, and Served
On Sept. 22, 2025, the Seattle Municipal Court (SMC) hosted its annual Community Resource Day, bringing together 45 event providers who offered vital services to more than 100 community members and 20 pet owners (with thanks to Seattle Veterinary Outreach).
From SMC’s ticket options and warrant quash to housing and healthcare to legal aid and social service support, community members were able to connect directly with resources that matter most. The event reflected the true spirit of “people helping people,” and we are deeply grateful to every organization, provider, and community member who made the day possible.
Our post-event survey gave us valuable feedback, and we are excited to build on this year’s success. In 2026, we plan to enhance visibility with clearer signage from the main highway, strengthen our partnership with Parks and Recreation, and continue growing the new community connections formed this year. These insights will help us improve pre-planning for providers and create an even more welcoming and accessible event for all. Together, we are building a stronger network of support for Seattle’s community and SMC's customers and clients.
