Budget proposal will include expansion to highly praised Fresh Bucks program, support for food banks and meal programs, and advance food equity across Seattle. 

SeattleToday, Mayor Bruce Harrell will preview millions in proposed investments as part of his 2026 budget, focused on expanding access to healthy, affordable food across Seattle. The mayor’s investment plan is focused on advancing food equity, strengthening community partnerships, and building resilient neighborhoods in the face of reduced federal support.
