Exciting new Waterfront experiences await! 🌊☀️

The revamped Waterfront is bursting with new places to explore! With bike paths, public art, green space, and family-friendly features, the mile-long space is now a dynamic destination designed with community at its heart. 💚

This Friday, July 25, marks the grand opening of Pier 58, featuring a family-friendly community celebration from 4 – 8 p.m. Be among the first to explore the 25-foot jellyfish-inspired tower and experience the thrill of sliding down the impressive 18-foot slide.

🖌️ Have you checked out the new sidewalk art on 3rd at the corners of Pike and Pine? We’re excited to launch our Connect the Corners project in partnership with DSA and SDOT! These vibrant sidewalk art and murals, designed by Overall Creative, brighten up the gateways to the retail core, Pike Place Market, and the Waterfront. Come see it for yourself – it's a splash of color and creativity you can’t miss!


📚 Long Brothers Fine and Rare Books brings new energy to Pioneer Square’s historic literary scene. With a curated collection of old and new reads as well as a cozy in-store bar serving beer and pizza, owner Jeffrey Long has created a welcoming and innovative gathering space. The bookstore is both a tribute to the neighborhood’s literary legacy and a must-visit spot for today’s readers and collectors.

🎨 The Seattle Art Fair returned this weekend for its ninth edition, showcasing over 80 galleries from around the world. Attendees experienced a wide range of modern and contemporary art, featuring local artists and engaging, cutting-edge displays. The event showcased Seattle’s vibrant arts scene and its rising status as a center of creativity: Art x NW: Seattle Art Fair returns with its legion of booths – Cascade PBS.

Looking ahead

🌎 Downtown Summer Sounds continues this week on Wednesday, July 23 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at Occidental Square. The free concert series features Local band Dengue Fever, showcasing a unique blend of Cambodian rock and surf grooves. It’s a great opportunity to explore some global music Downtown.

💃 On Thursday, July 24 from 6 – 9 p.m., head to Hing Hay Park in the Chinatown-International District for Dancing til Dusk! This week’s edition will feature the Ben Thomas Tango Quartet, and attendees will receive a free tango lesson followed by live music and dancing. 😋 Bite of Seattle is returning for its 40th anniversary! From Friday, July 25, to Sunday, July 27, head to Seattle Center to enjoy over 300 local food vendors, craft drinks, live music, and family-friendly fun. It’s a perfect chance to celebrate Seattle’s diverse culinary scene for free.
