Stay Informed! Denny Way Paving Project Update
Nighttime Paving on Denny Way coming up July 28 and July 29
Our construction work on the Denny Way Paving Project continues. We're paving almost 12 blocks of Denny Way to make using Denny Way easier and better for residents and commuters alike. Our work includes asphalt paving, sidewalk upgrades, bus stop changes, new pedestrian ramps, areas of widened sidewalks that shorten crossing distances, new stop bars painted on the street, and new "no turn on red" signs.

What We’re Doing Next Week
Construction will continue next week on Denny Way between Westlake Ave and Stewart St. Our work will reduce the number of lanes on Denny Way and close some parts of the sidewalk. If you are travelling in the area, watch for changing traffic patterns, and follow any signs that direct you around work zones.
We expect to complete the paving along Denny Way and Yale Ave before the end of July. You may notice some work on Denny Way between Boren Ave and Terry Ave happening overnight on July 21 and 22. This work is being done by Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) to fix a leaking water pipe. We are coordinating with our partners at SPU to complete this work.
Please visit SPU's webpage for tips on preparing for a water outage. Please visit SPU's Water Outages map for more information on affected properties.

Nighttime Paving Work on Denny Way – July 28 and July 29
We are laying the new asphalt surface on Denny Way and Yale Ave on July 28 and July 29. This work will bring us close to completion of the project. We will be doing this work overnight to reduce traffic impacts during the day. We will always keep one lane open in each direction on Denny Way, but two lanes will be closed so that we can lay the new road surface. We will also close several intersections.
-
Night of July 28: Two eastbound lanes on Denny Way and one southbound lane on Yale Ave will be closed from 7 PM to 5 AM for paving work. Northbound intersections at Terry Ave, Lenora St, Boren Ave and Minor Ave will be closed with detours posted.
-
Night of July 29: Two westbound lanes on Denny Way and one northbound lane on Yale Ave will be closed from 7 PM to 5 AM for paving work. Southbound intersections at Terry Ave N, Boren Ave N and Minor Ave N will be closed with detours posted.
