Seattle Fire & Seattle Parks team up to offer free CPR classes

Seattle Fire & Seattle Parks team up to offer free CPR classes for Seattle community members

King County has one of the highest survival rates of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the world. One key factor is the increasing number of citizens who have cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. To help keep this trend going in right direction, the Seattle Fire Department is partnering with Seattle Parks and Recreation to host free CPR classes at community centers throughout the city. Visit Seattle.gov/medic2 to find the location and dates of upcoming classes.

Seattle Emergency Communication Hubs

Volunteers with various skills, from radio communications to mental health counselors, gather a few times a year at Seattle Emergency Communication Hubs. They set up a site and practice an emergency scenario with the help of community members playing the part of neighbors in need.
