 Seattleites are coming together for One Seattle Day of Service this Saturday, July 12, to strengthen our communities and show our civic pride. The annual citywide volunteer effort is a chance for all of us to roll up our sleeves, work together as a team, and give back to the neighborhoods we love.
Registration is open for volunteer shifts throughout the city! More shifts and events will be added up until the day of the event. Volunteer opportunities include a variety of options for people of different ages, abilities, and interests.

Shon Barnes was sworn in as the 38th Chief of the Seattle Police Department this week. Chief Barnes stepped in to lead the police department at the end of January. He previously served as the chief of police in Madison, Wisconsin.
