As a reminder, the Leary Way Bridge will be closed overnight on Thursday, June 5 from 10 PM – 5 AM for seismic retrofit work. Both the Leary Way Bridge and the Ballard Bridge will be closed this weekend June 6 through June 9.

During the Leary Way Bridge closure on June 5, people driving south on 15th Ave NW will need to travel down to Leary Way NW, then use the on-ramp to access the Ballard Bridge. People traveling north from Interbay via the Ballard Bridge will need to exit down to Leary Way NW using the off-ramp to continue into Ballard. We encourage you to take the Aurora Bridge as a detour route to avoid increased traffic.
Please note, the Ballard Bridge is scheduled to close this weekend on June 6-9.
This schedule may change due to weather conditions or other unexpected circumstances. We will send an email update later this week to confirm the status of the bridge closure. We encourage you to share this information with your neighbors, co-workers, family members, and friends who live, work, and play along or near the 15th Ave W/NW corridor.
While these closures are inconvenient to travelers like you, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
We’ll keep the bridge open for you to walk, bike, scoot, or roll except when it would be unsafe. As always, Ballard businesses are open during construction. Please support them by shopping locally!

Yesterday, crews paved the west side of 15th Ave NW between NW Market St and NW 51st St. This work will continue tonight, June 3, from 7 PM – 6 AM on the east side.
