TONIGHT! Nighttime Paving Work on Denny Way
Overnight Paving Work Scheduled Tonight 5/28
 Our paving work on Denny Way is continuing!
Crews will add asphalt patches to holes and cracks tonight in preparation for paving next week. We will be doing this work overnight to reduce traffic impacts during the day. The work is expected to begin at 7 PM and end at 5 AM.
This work will require alternating eastbound and westbound lane closures on Denny Way, but we will keep one lane of traffic open in each direction. Work will begin at the intersection of 5th Ave and Denny Way, continuing eastbound toward Westlake Ave. Crews will then head back westbound back toward 5th Ave to complete the work.
People living along Denny Way may experience noise from vehicles and machinery, vibration, dust, and short-term delays at driveways.

Overnight paving work next week
Next Wednesday and Thursday we will begin laying the new asphalt surface on Denny Way. Once this section is complete, we will be halfway through the project. We will need to close intersections to complete this work. The closures are shown on the map above and detailed below.
Here's what you need to know

On Wednesday, June 4, crews will pave the south side of Denny Way. Two eastbound lanes on Denny Way will close. Northbound intersections at Vine St, 6th Ave, 7th Ave, 8th Ave and Bell St will be closed with detours posted.

On Thursday, June 5, crews will pave the north side of Denny Way. Two westbound lanes on Denny Way will be closed. Southbound intersections at Taylor Ave N, 6th Ave N, Dexter Ave N and 9th Ave N will be closed with detours posted.
- Work hours will be from 7 PM to 5 AM. Roads will be reopened to traffic at 5 AM.
- There will be some short-term driveway closures on Denny Way.
