Nighttime paving on Denny Way coming up June 4 and June 5
 Our construction work on the Denny Way Paving Project continues. We're paving almost 12 blocks of Denny Way to make using Denny Way easier and better for residents and commuters alike. Our work includes asphalt paving, sidewalk upgrades, bus stop changes, new pedestrian ramps, areas of widened sidewalks that shorten crossing distances, new stop bars painted on the street, and new "no turn on red" signs.

What We’re Doing Next Week
Construction will continue next week on Denny Way between 5th Ave and Boren Ave. Our work will reduce the number of lanes on Denny Way and close some parts of the sidewalk. If you are travelling in the area, watch for changing traffic patterns, and follow any signs that direct you around work zones.
We know this will make using Denny more of a challenge. Thank you for your patience while we work. When we’re done working, you will be able to cross the street more easily because of the newly extended curbs and pedestrian ramps. You'll also have an easier time getting to the bus or nearby businesses.

Between Dexter Ave to 9th Ave – Westbound Lane Closure

May 23: One westbound lane of Denny Way closed from 9 AM to 3 PM for sidewalk work.
Between Westlake Ave to Terry Ave – Westbound Lane Closure

May 27 to May 30: One westbound lane of Denny Way and one northbound lane of Westlake Ave closed from 9 AM to 3 PM for sidewalk work.
Between 9th Ave to Westlake Ave – Eastbound Lane Closures

May 23: One eastbound lane of Denny Way and one southbound lane of Westlake Ave closed from 9 AM to 3 PM for sidewalk work.
Between Terry Ave to Boren Ave – Eastbound Lane Closures

May 29 to May 30: One eastbound lane of Denny Way closed from 9 AM to 3 PM for sidewalk work.
Between 5th Ave to Westlake Ave – Westbound and Eastbound Lane Closures

May 23: Two westbound lanes of Denny Way closed from 9 AM to 3 PM for two blocks at a time as crews install systems that detect vehicles and assist with traffic signal operations.

 Nighttime Paving Work on Denny Way - June 4 and June 5
We are laying the new asphalt surface on Denny Way on June 4 and 5. This work will bring us to the halfway point in the project. We will be doing this work overnight to reduce traffic impacts during the day. We will always keep one lane open in each direction on Denny Way, but two lanes will be closed so that we can lay the new road surface. We will also close several intersections.
Between 5th Ave and Westlake Ave – Eastbound and Westbound Lane Closures

Night of June 4: Two eastbound lanes on Denny Way will be closed from 7 PM to 5 AM for paving work. Northbound intersections at Taylor Ave, Vine St, 6th Ave, Dexter Ave, 8th Ave, Bell St and 9th Ave will be closed during the same time frame with traffic detours posted.
Night of June 5: Two westbound lanes on Denny Way will be closed from 7 PM to 5 AM for paving work. Southbound intersections at Taylor Ave N, 6th Ave N, Dexter Ave N and 9th Ave N will be closed during the same time frame with traffic detours posted.
