In his vibrant new show of painting and sculpture, Fulgencio Lazo honors the textile traditions and ancestral stories of the Zapotec people in Oaxaca that his mother taught him when he was a child. The art form has been passed down for over 2,000 years as a way to preserve culture and history. His show, "Tejiendo Historias / Weaving Stories," runs now through Nov. 16 at ArtX Contemporary.
