We are reaching out with a progress update for the Denny Way paving project. Our team has been working on the necessary preparations, and we expect to begin construction in the coming months.
The Denny Way paving project will pave approximately 12 blocks of Denny Way from Taylor Ave N to Stewart, and Yale Ave from Denny Way to Howell St, to restore the pavement condition in this critical piece of Downtown Seattle’s arterial network. Work will also include sidewalk and curb ramp upgrades, signal upgrades, additional signage, and bus stop consolidation.
In the coming months, we will be reaching out to the community and nearby businesses to provide updates on the construction plans. We will also be hosting a Denny Way Paving Project online community meeting on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. via Zoom with more information about how to sign-up available on the project website here.
With many people returning to work in the city, particularly in this area, we understand the importance of minimizing disruptions when possible.
