Base Camp Studios 2
Calling all local artists! 🎨 Apply for one of 15 studio spaces at the historic Bergman Luggage Building on the corner of Third Avenue and Steward Street in Downtown Seattle.
Artists will sign a one-year lease, and Seattle Restored will subsidize 50% of the current market rate to make it more accessible. We strongly encourage applications from those who come from historically disenfranchised or under-resourced communities.
Artists will become part of a vibrant artistic community in Belltown, benefiting from Downtown activations and events.

Digital Sales Access Program 💻
Our Digital Sales Access Program bridges the digital divide that impacts immigrant- and minority-owned small businesses, particularly those operating as cash-only or those in need of financial management tools.
Through the program, 50 business owners will receive a new Square point of sales system and a one-year website subscription. They’ll also receive trainings in financial management and maximizing a point of sales system.

Overlook Walk opening 🎉
It’s official – the Overlook Walk opens Friday, October 4! 🌊🚶♂️ This pedestrian connection between Downtown and the Waterfront will boast 360-degree views of Downtown, Elliott Bay, the Olympic mountains, and Mount Rainier.

PCC returns 🛒
PCC Community Markets will return to Downtown! The grocer announced it will open with a new, smaller format in the second half of 2025 in the space it previously occupied on 4th and Union. PCC will use the rest of the space as offices for co-op staff.

The Chinatown-International District Night Market is back! The free, annual street festival is this Saturday, September 21 from 1 – 9 p.m. Shop local vendors, enjoy street food, and gather with community.

There’s new festive lighting above 3rd Avenue between Steward and Virginia streets. This builds on newly painted murals across Downtown to make Downtown a welcoming place for all.

Wanting to lease a commercial space, but unsure of where to start? Join Seattle Good Business Network for a free panel discussion on securing a commercial lease in Seattle.
Three business owners will share their journey in securing a commercial space in Seattle. From those who cold-called property owners to those that worked with a broker, you’ll get a variety of perspectives on finding the right place for your business. Other discussion topics include permitting, design, capital, business resources, and more.

Informing Rulemaking for Small Business Success forum
Small business owners, you’re invited to the Department of Enterprise Services Forum focused on increasing equitable access to state contracts.
The session will focus on listening and learning from participants about their challenges in accessing state contracts, particularly for small, minority, and veteran-owned businesses.
This will be an interactive one-to-two-hour session, with lunch provided. Qualified participants will receive a $100 stipend.

Help us evaluate Seattle’s cannabis industry
We relaunched the Request for Proposal process to find academic institutions to study the current state of Seattle’s cannabis industry.
We are continually working to build an inclusive economy in Seattle, where people across the city, particularly those from historically excluded communities, have access to career paths and business ownership opportunities.
Our goal is to conduct an industry analysis and determine what professional development opportunities cannabis industry workers need.
