3rd Ave & Yesler Construction Update

Construction Begins Next Week

We will begin construction on the 3rd & Yesler Safety Improvements project after September 3, 2024 (following Labor Day). We will keep you in the know about these improvements with email updates like this one. If you'd like more detailed information about what we're doing, check out the 3rd Ave & Yesler Safety Improvements Project website

What to Expect During Construction

Our tentative schedule is as follows:

*Weekday work hours are be from 9 AM – 3 PM, Monday through Friday.

Week 1: We will be cutting concrete panels on the sidewalk to make room for the new curb bulbs and curb ramps. Heads up: this will be noisy work!

Week 2: With Seattle Public Utility's help, we will begin installing the electrical components for the pedestrian light.

We may need to close parts of the sidewalks and restrict curbside parking to do this work. If you are walking through or driving to this area, expect sidewalk detours and signage that tells you where to park.
