South Spokane Viaduct Deck Rehabilitation Project Updates
We're Making Progress on the Viaduct's Deck Rehab
 We're entering the third week of deck repairs on the South Spokane Viaduct. Progress along the viaduct is proceeding at a good pace, with grinding, cleaning/sweeping, and overlay work continuing in the eastbound lanes. Week 3 Spokane St Viaduct Construction: (*schedule is subject to change)
Weeknight Closures (Aug 14-16)
- From 7 PM, Aug 14 until 6 AM, Aug 15 (Wed night to Thur morning)
- From 7 PM, Aug 15 until 6 AM, Aug 16 (Thur night to Fri morning)
- From 7 PM, Aug 16 until 10 PM, Aug 16 (Fri Night)
During weeknights, two eastbound lanes will be closed. The below graphic shows how this looks.

- Take the ramp to northbound SR 99. To reach I-5, head toward 1st Ave S to get to the Edgar Martinez Dr. S freeway on-ramp.
- Take the 1st Ave ramp to Lower Spokane St.
- Take the 4th Ave ramp to Lower Spokane St.
 Weekend Closures (August 16-19):
- 10 PM, Aug 16 until 5 AM, Aug 19 (Fri night to Mon morning)
During this weekend, east and westbound lanes will be restricted. One westbound lane will be closed. Two lanes will remain open until you reach the 1st Ave Exit ramp. This will be the final chance to exit the viaduct because, after the 1st Ave exit, all eastbound lanes will be closed in the new work zone. The below graphic shows how this looks.
