Weekend Closures (August 16-19):

  • 10 PM, Aug 16 until 5 AM, Aug 19 (Fri night to Mon morning)

During this weekend, east and westbound lanes will be restricted. One westbound lane will be closed. Two lanes will remain open until you reach the 1st Ave Exit ramp. This will be the final chance to exit the viaduct because, after the 1st Ave exit, all eastbound lanes will be closed in the new work zone. The below graphic shows how this looks.

If you are traveling east in the West Seattle Bridge, you will need to either:

  • Take the1st Ave ramp
  • The northbound I-5 off ramp that leads to the West Seattle Bridge (i.e., westbound Spokane Viaduct) will be closed. Instead, you will need to exit to the ramp that leads to the Lower Spokane Street.
