To support our nighttime economy and creative workers, new legislation introduced would make loading and parking outside music venues more accessible to musicians and supporting crews.
Our office in partnership with Seattle Department of Transportation helped develop this measure that would establish a new curbside designation and permit program for live music venues. We worked with the Seattle Music Commission and used feedback from venue operators and local musicians to develop a proposal to meet their unique parking and loading needs.
The new music venue zones will allow for safer, easier transportation of gear and equipment. Music venue zones would allow parking and loading with a valid permit 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
