Grand Opening of New Commercial Space Secured Through the Business Community Ownership Fund šŸŽ‰

La Union Studio opened its new commercial space in the Mt. Baker neighborhood this week!

The full-service interior design firm is the first business participating in the Business Community Ownership Fund.

In partnership with Grow America and JPMorgan Chase, we launched this first-in-the-nation small business funding model that puts business owners on a pathway to long-term control and ownership of their commercial spaces. Ā

Accelerator for Cleantech Startups Ā

Cleantech startups are invited to apply for the Cascadia CleanTech Accelerator. This accelerator is designed for both early-stage hardware and software cleantech startups located in or interested in doing business in the Northwest.

The 18-week program includes mentorship, structured curriculum, and connections. Participants that complete the program are eligible for additional resources and opportunities as they are available.

Arts Grants and Funding Opportunities šŸŽ­

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture invests in Seattle’s arts and cultural sector, including cultural organizations, arts groups, individual artists, youth arts programs, and neighborhood and community groups.

Upcoming grant opportunities include CityArtist, which provides a grant to Seattle-based artists and curators to research, develop, and presents ideas or ventures.

Another upcoming opportunity, Artists at the Center gives artists a performance opportunity, allowing them to display their talents and connect with new audiences.Ā

There’s still time to get your application in for the Great Seattle Export Accelerator!

Greater Seattle Partners provides small and medium-sized businesses with export assistance and new trade opportunities. The accelerator includes a comprehensive curriculum, in-person export advising, and networking events. The program is open to businesses in King, Snohomish, and Pierce County. Application deadline is this Sunday, March 24.

The Office for Civil Rights enforces those laws, offers free investigations, and assists people with filing claims. They put together a video illustrates some of Seattle’s civil rights protections and the services you can use if you’ve faced discrimination.
