Municipal Court Information System (MCIS) 2.0 Replacement Project Update

Seattle Municipal Court's new case management system has now launched.

Seattle Municipal Court Building

Seattle Municipal Court (SMC) has now launched our new case management systems, C-Track & cFive. This project replaced a legacy system (MCIS) that has served the court, our exchange partners, and the public for over 30 years.

This was a multi-year journey to modernize both the processes and systems to support SMC, the criminal justice system and our community. By replacing aging systems with a flexible enterprise case management system, our partners and the community can expect improved stability, performance, scalability, and capabilities.

Over the upcoming months, the court will stabilize how we operate within the new system and customers may experience temporary delays in services and response time. We appreciate our partners and the community for their patience as our staff adjust to new ways of working. We hope you recognize improvements in how we operate and serve you, as well.

We recognize how valuable the collaboration of our partners and the community was towards this success. Thank you for supporting us on this journey!

As a reminder...

Reduced Operations to Support Staff Transition to C-Track & cFive

Following system launch the court has planned the following operational adjustments and will gradually increase back to full operations in two weeks. This strategic decision allows staff the space to become comfortable in the system.
