Seattle Youth Commission Now Accepting Applications 

The City of Seattle is now accepting applications for the Seattle Youth Commission (SYC), a 15-member commission of ages 13-19 that addresses issues of importance to youth. Appointed by the Mayor and Seattle City Council, youth serving on this commission work with elected officials, City staff, community leaders, and young people citywide to make positive changes through policy, organizing, and events.
The deadline to apply is Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

Annual Call for FEPP Levy Oversight Committee Volunteers - The Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) is accepting applications for one new member to join the Families, Education, Preschool and Promise (FEPP) Levy Oversight Committee (LOC). The Wing Luke Museum offered a first glimpse Monday of a newly installed mural spread across nine boarded-up windows and doors that had been damaged in September by a man allegedly wielding a sledgehammer and shouting anti-Chinese sentiments.
